Embroidered quilt topper
This little beauty is a combined effort of my sisters..they have saved all the sweet linens they have found in various thrift stores and used the good parts of said linens to make this sweet table topper. I would love to make a full sized quilt in this pattern and will will be saving my linens too. When it is completed i will post a pic. Love it!
I am with you - I think a full size quilt made up with vintage linens would be perfect. I'll add this idea to the list. :) Thank you for such great inspiration.~Kelly

ReplyDeleteI've been collecting vintage embroidered linens as well for a project like this. I'm also hoping to make a quilt with a butterfly theme using machine embroidered butterflies in the hexagons. I'm still trying to figure out what to use as backers/stabilizers. Does this sort of hexagon (with the vintage linens) need anything special?

ReplyDeletewith the vintage linens didn't require any backing other than the batting and backing when hand quilting is done. The butterflies would be very pretty!
