Quick and Easy.....

Quick and easy brunch/breakfast....cinnamon rolls prepared in the waffle iron,  Pot of coffee and you're set!

Weekend Ramblings....

The fall colors and beautiful clouds reflecting in the lake are mesmerizing.  We will never tire from  seeing this beautiful landscape put before us.  Saturday Farmers Market, such a great abundance of produce, we are so lucky to live in this great fertile country of ours.   Lunch Alfresco, flat iron steak is one of our favorites, affordable and a very tender cut of beef.  Riding our bikes back from the farmers market happened upon a couple of garage sales.  The little table is Ethan Allen and solid maple for $10.00, mirror was a bargain @ $5.00.  The mirror I will chalk paint and wax, can't wait to get started!  Happy Sunday,  till next time.

Salmon are Running and Fall Beauty...

The salmon are doing their yearly run and we were fascinated watching them trying to move upstream.    We ventured up to our favorite lake @10,000' and the fall colors were mesmerizing. Fishing was great, had a campfire and cooked hot dogs...yum! Such a beautiful time of year!

WIP & Chalk Paint......

We are enjoying perfect weather in Kansas right now, 60's at night and 80's in the daytime.  Wouldn't it be grand to live where it is like this all year long?  I sure think so!  This little table topper has been hanging around my sewing room wayyy too long, finished it today.  I am liking the fall colors!  When Granddaughter and I went to IKEA the other day I found this cabinet door in the markdown area for $1.00.  Mr. Outdoors picked up some chalkboard paint and maybe now I won't misplace my grocery list.  Terrific Tuesday, till next time..........

Chicken Fried!

One of my favorites is chicken fried steak, have you ever thought about chicken fried pork tenderloin?  Yah me neither....yesterday for Sunday dinner I sliced, tenderized and chicken fried said tenderloin.  Boy oh boy it is delicious!  I used my go to recipe for the CFsteak and it turned out so tender and delish.  With sides of green beans, garden fresh tomatoes, mashed potatoes and CF gravy it was a hit.  Mr. Outdoors said he liked it better than beef. Al fresco dining! Happy Monday!
