Cute Flower Pots.......

Love this idea, perfect for outdoor tables or indoor decor.  The floral possibilities are endless and the pots could be painted any color you wanted.  A candle ring with silk flowers would be so cute!

On My Needles....

On my needles, a cowl for Mr. Outdoors and a chevron baby blanket. The blanket is grey and light yellow, shows up off white in the picture.  I have been making and putting away several baby blankets, looking forward to the day we could become Great-Grandparents.... Our weather has been beautiful for a couple of days, 55 degrees today.  I was able to hang out all the laundry and with the breeze they all got dry, folded, ironed and put away. Big weather change coming tomorrow, a high of 24 degrees and a chance of rain/snow for the next five days.  Keep warm, till next time.

Cheeseburger Pie......

I would say I have been making this recipe for over 30 years.  A family favorite and so quick and easy to make for a quick supper or bake a bunch and freeze them. Be sure and pre-bake your crust before adding hamburger mixture, if you don't the crust won't be done.  Enjoy!

Sauerkraut Soup.....

Sauerkraut soup
1 pound polish sausage, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
5 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 medium onions, chopped
3 carrots, cut into 1/4 inch slices
3 cans (14.5 ounces each) chicken broth
1 can (32 oz) sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine sausage, potatoes, onions, carrots and chicken broth, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add sauerkraut and tomato paste; mix well. Return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes longer.
If a thinner soup is desired, add additional water or chicken broth.
Makes 8 - 10 servings
Given to me by a friend, such a good recipe!  Will warm your bones on a cold day/night.   I was hesitant on adding the sauerkraut as we don't eat a lot of it,  totally makes the soup, just be sure to rinse it 3 or 4 times before adding.  Enjoy!

Football Cupcakes.........

Football night in America.....our Family loves football and cooking and eating!  I always enjoy trying out new recipes, my Family actually expects it of me I think.  Mr. Outdoors found a new cupcake recipe he wanted us to try, so try we did.  Chocolate cupcakes with a filling of peanut butter and marshmallow cream, topped with chocolate frosting.  Hot wings with a twist were on the menu, breading the wings then dipping in the sauce before baking......they were soooo good.  #2 son cooked a brisket and it was melt in your mouth tender, delish!  Add all of the sides and we had a great meal.  Baked a loaf of bread in my new dutch oven, you just can't beat fresh baked bread can you?  Happy Tuesday!
