Lamps and Canisters.......

I found these beautiful carnival glass look alike lamps @ The Boomerang re-sale shop in Gunnison, Colorado.  They are so me!  I have put them in the master bedroom in our Colorado house and other than needing to replace the switches they are perfect!  My sister found a canister set for me that matches my dishes...aren't they cute...she is the best shopper and finds great bargains for all of us.  This set was

a whopping $8.00...see what I mean.....she finds those bargains!

How do you?

So, how do you get it all wound up?  I mean saving those knitted/crocheted projects you have all done EXCEPT for weaving in all the loose yarn ends?  How do you hide away all the excess things sitting around that you put there to keep track of exactly where they are?  How do you make all this extra food cram into the fridge.....keep the bathroom sparkly clean when it was cleaned two days before all your Christmas guests arrive?  Christmas is at our house this year, keeps me from sleeping well at night....waking up @ 3am thinking.... did I remember to get that jalapeƱo jam for the cream cheese and crackers?  I mean it really is ridiculous......here is just a sampling of what is going on around my house. Homemade tamales, fudge and Merry and Bright!  Countdown is on!

Sunrise and such......

Beautiful Colorado sunrise....my pictures don't do it much justice.  Such a gift to see!  Driving thru western Kansas on our way to Colorado there is so much milo piled on the ground.  Makes me wonder what will they do with all of it?  Will it go to the feed lots for the cattle, will it rot like that?  I am crocheting scarfs for all the girlies in my world this year, love this lace yarn.  A mixture of mohair, silk, wool and acrylic....very fine and delicate and I might note very hard to unravel if you make a mistake.  Are you ready for Christmas?
