Summer BLT'S

Nothing says summer like BLT'S...... Bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches.

 Granddaughter calls hers a BELT, she adds an egg to hers. Tomatoes courtesy of son Mark and his girl Susan's garden,  tomato's as big as the bread slices!

Roses and a quilt....

My knock-out roses are doing well, not really big flowers yet but maybe next year they will be larger.

I am getting the binding on the blue and white quilt.    Chose the floral print, something about the contrast I like!

Love this Old Country Roses cup and saucer.  This was made in 1986 as a 25th Old Country Roses anniversary special.  Love the "cottage" design......

4th of july..........

Happy 4th of July!  We are so Blessed to live in a country where we are free to choose.  Mr. Outdoors and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary 2 days ago, took a little road trip and enjoyed eating out.  Next year we will celebrate with a party on our 50th.  My goodness the years have just flown by for us!  We have just finished tiling and carpeting pretty much the whole house, what a great look it is!  Our farm house is 100 years old and it was in need of some renovating for sure. The last time we did anything major was the early 80's!  Don't you just love these home projects...LOL.  We have been Blessed with a lot of rain this summer and the plants and trees (elephant ear pic below) are flourishing, temps have been below average so far and I am liking it! Have a great 4th!
